We had a great time. We rented the Minnitaki August 23 thru the 27, there was 4 of us, 2 couples, and the boat was just perfect for us to stay in for the long weekend. Everything was great, the staff, the boat, the park, no complaints at all. Rainy Lake is a beautiful spot to visit, and it made it all the better by being able to be in the fresh air and wilderness and water 24-7! We can’t wait to come back. Fishing was great too, even though we only went out one morning, we were able to catch our supper of walleyes! The wind blew the other days of our trip, but we were parked in a little bay out of the wind and enjoyed the peacefulness and opportunity to do absolutely nothing but relax! The only suggestion I have for those coming is that you bring your own GPS with the chip of Rainy Lake area, it made for traveling on the vast lake easier, and we were able to see where the camping spots were without having to get close to shore.

I was there the last weekend in June and it was so fun! I travel and fish a lot in Minnesota and due to the mayfly hatch fishing could have been better, but we did catch some big small mouth. It is the most beautiful place I have ever been in Minnesota hands down. I found the service very friendly and the instructions for the boat very thorough. I couldn't have had a better bachelor party. My only complaint is I can't come back till next year! Thanks for everything - see you then.

We were very impressed with how well our boat was stocked with just everything. Never once did we wish for anything. We had a wonderful time and will be back next summer. Thanks for the Rainy Lake memories. You have a very helpful, friendly staff that's fun to work with.

I can’t wait to return to the most beautiful untouched landscape mother nature has left us with. I want to thank the Doughterty family and staff, for making my vacation the most wonderful ever. After settling back to a normal way of life, I don’t know if I can wait until spring to come back. The group spring fishing trip was a great success, sharing all the tips from the other fisherman to locate and catch the plentiful supply of walleyes, and meeting new friends, several of them I’m keeping in touch with.

Please accept my most sincere thanks for a fabulous week aboard The Chairman. The accommodations were great and the setting simply spectacular. Please give our thanks to Cody and Jon for us too. As guides you could not ask for any better. They were knowledgeable, patient, personal and both shared with us their infectious senses of humor. We met them on day one as our guides and said our good-byes five days later to two great friends. And, please convey to Bernie our highest regards. EVERY single meal was something to write home about. He is simply a pleasure to be around and his company was enjoyed by all. As Captain of this ship, Billy, you deserve the highest of marks for your organization, patience, knowledge, guiding and so very pleasant company. It is a memory we will cherish.
