Our last two sport shows of the year are this month. We will be at the State Fairgrounds for the Milwaukee Sentinel sport show in Milwaukee Wisconsin March 9-18, 2007 and The Greater Northwest Sport Show at the Minneapolis Convention Center March 27-April 1, 2007.

Late May and Early June is
Smallmouth Time on Rainy Lake!
Rainy Lake gets a lot of press for its fabulous smallmouth bass fishing and rightly so. One of the great times of the year is the last week of May and the first week of June. This time of the year both the large females and males are together in the spawning bays. They are in a pre spawn mode and feed heavily until bedding time.

Going to Canada: Things to know
before you go!
Here are some things to consider if you are thinking about going to the Ontario side of Rainy Lake. Less than five percent of our guests take their houseboats to Ontario. Twenty percent of our guests purchase Ontario fishing licenses for their trip and travel from their Minnesota mooring site to Ontario to fish. Fishing is superb on both sides of the border. Rainy Lake is simply one of the most beautiful places in the world. If scenery is your objective the Minnesotawaters will meet all your needs. The Minnesota section is Voyageurs National Park, a totally undeveloped wildernessmecca located on the Minnesota/ Ontario border.
